Nexon Korea Unveils ‘Project Dynasty Warriors’ Coming to iOS and Android in Late 2016

It’s about 10am here in the Pacific time zone, which means it’s about 2am in Japan. Which means I can’t wake up Shaun Musgrave to explain all this Dynasty Warriors stuff to me. So bear with me, folks. Anyway, Nexon Korea has just announced a new Dynasty Warriors mobile game, tentatively titled Project Dynasty Warriors, that’s coming to iOS and Android in late 2016. It’s based of the Dynasty Warriors 8 console title, and will feature “an enhanced collection element and a host of unique characters to choose from, along with the seamless gameplay mechanics and graphics of the console version, for players to dominate the battlefield." Check out the awesome trailer.

So apparently, and this is where I could really use some Shaunsplaining, this is a different mobile Dynasty Warriors game from the Dynasty Warriors Mobile that was announced by Perfect World in late May. That one is supposed to be more of a side-scrolling beat ’em up, whereas Project Dynasty Warriors appears to be much closer to the character action-style of the console games. I’ve never gotten into the many, many Dynasty Warriors games over the years, but to be honest both of these mobile offerings look really cool to me. Expect more info on Project Dynasty Warriors as it nears its late 2016 launch window.
