By now we know that Sister Location is the name of the next Scott Cawthon game, but not much else has been revealed. Today we got the first trailer for the game, and while it hasn’t really revealed much about the gameplay and the story – although I’m sure many are picking it apart as we speak – it definitely shows a jump in the visuals department and possibly a shift from just depending on jump scares to frighten people. What I do think is that the continuous whispers and the trailer’s general direction make Sister Location look more unsettling (in a good way) than previous games of the Five Night’s at Freddy’s franchise.
I’m not sure what the game will end up looking like and whether it will once more get the gaming world buzzing (either with approval or puzzlement). I do have to say, though, that for the first time in the franchise’s history, I’m intrigued to see what Scott Cawthon has in store. The trailer points to a Fall release window, but if you know anything about the franchise, you’ll know that Cawthon never sticks to his own release windows. Is this trailer promising, or are you tired of the franchise all together?
