‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Creator Scott Cawthon is Teasing ‘Sister Location’, but is it a Spin-off or a Sequel?

TouchArcade Rating:

After trying to – unsuccessfully – move away from Five Nights at Freddy’s ($2.99) games, it looks like Scott Cawthon is back to his old tricks if the teaser on his webpage is to be believed. If you remember, Cawthon released FNAF World, an bright and happy RPG using FNAF characters, but it all went very sour very quickly to the point where Cawthon had to pull the game from Steam. Now, according to a teaser posted on his webpage (which has been his favorite way of promoting his games), we should be getting a game much closer to the original FNAF games. The teaser shows an animatronic face that looks a bit like Bonnie and “Sister Location – There was never just one" written across the screen.

So, what is Cawthon teasing now? Well, the teaser’s tone definitely harkens back to the jump-scare machines that were the FNAF games, but other than that it’s hard to know what Cawthon has in mind. This could be a FNAF spinoff or even FNAF 5. It could be that we’re moving to another location that’s not Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza but is still as creepy. One thing’s for sure; the community is going to once more start digging into all the teasers trying to figure out what Cawthon has planned for us this time. And frankly, that’s half of the fun of the FNAF games. Stay tuned for more details.
