‘Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear’ has Launched on PC, Hopefully iOS Version Will Follow Soon

If you’re one of the many Baldur’s Gate fans, I’ve got kind of good news for you. Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Beamdog’s first attempt at developing an original game in the Baldur’s Gate universe, has been released for PC, and hopefully iOS and Android releases won’t be too far off. The developers have said they weren’t planning a simultaneous launch, and work on the mobile version is currently in progress. Usually, Beamdog doesn’t take too long between PC and mobile versions of its Baldur’s Gate games, but this one isn’t just an “enhanced edition" of an older game, so the timing might be different this time around.

If you haven’t heard much about Siege of Dragonspear, this third game in the Baldur’s Gate universe is technically the second in terms of chronology since it bridges the story between the two original Baldur’s Gate games. The game uses an updated version of the Infinity Engine (and an improved UI) and offers around 30 hours of gameplay, new characters, and a new class. You’ll even be able to use your characters from the original. If you want to learn more about the game, go here. When I know more about a release date, I will let you know. Till then, go play the original if you haven’t so you can be ready for .
