So, good news and bad news on the upcoming Futurama: Game of Drones. The bad news is that you probably can’t play it yet. The good news is that if you’re an Android user in certain countries, or have the means to obtain it otherwise, you can play it right now as it has soft launched. Getting Android soft launch games through Google Play is a lot more difficult than through the App Store, but downloads may exist if you’re willing to hunt them down.
But let’s get to the bad news about the game. It’s a puzzle game. So if you were expecting something like The Simpsons: Tapped Out (Free) but with the Planet Express crew where you could help run your own incompetent delivery company, well, too bad. The good news is that the game is at least a match-4 and not a match-3, so that’s different?
I’m not trying to be pessimistic, maybe this is going to be fun, but it’s just that, y’know? It’s not what I was expecting. Maybe it’ll be fun and funny but it’s not hard to think that this could have been a lot cooler on paper.
