Sling Ship is a pretty neat little cave-flier game that’s releasing on October 1st, this Thursday. The game has you flying a ship through the cave by using flick controls to ‘sling’ it around. They take a bit of time to get used to, but you can eventually make both subtle and drastic movements with the flicks. It’s a pretty cool system to play with.
The game has you going through various caves, trying to avoid the walls, lava, and other hazards that will get in your way. You can collect ore, with 3 ores giving you a shield. Goals include trying to get to the end with as many ores and in as little time, but it might take a while before this comes into play, as early on, you can’t go back to earlier levels at all.
