‘Heroes of Order and Chaos’ Still Getting Updated, Has Spectator Mode, Fun Mode, and New Characters

TouchArcade Rating:

It’s easy to forget with the number of MOBAs that are out there, that Heroes of Order and Chaos (Free) has been kicking it on mobile for longer than pretty much all of them. It was also one of the first to support broadcasting from inside the app, too, something other games still struggle with supporting. If you want to watch matches from players without going through Twitch or whatever streaming service is in use, then you might enjoy the new Spectator Mode update. It’s something they’re rolling out in stages, but there will be a dynamic camera you can control to move freely through the map, or to follow a character. You can see a chaacter’s builds and other info, all in the Fast Game, Fun Mode, Custom, and Co-Op modes. Gameloft will be sponsoring a few tournaments if you want to see the Spectator mode in action, including the HOC Masters Invitational.

Along with this big new Spectator update, there’s a couple of new heroes to play as, with Lu Yunfei and T’saad D’Velay. Two new skins for Jombraa and Helmm Slagfist are also available. A new game mode is playable. Fun Mode is new to this update, where a team of random heroes goes out in 3-on-3 unranked matches on Border Skirmish. Cooldowns are reduced, and skills cost no mana. It’s designed to be fun and chaotic, so feel free to jump in if you want something new.

It’s nice to see this game getting updates still, long after release. There might just be enough of a community for this veteran of the mobile MOBAs to stick around, even with Vainglory (Free) and other games making a lot of noise.
