Looking for Another Podcast to Listen To? Check out Arash & Eli’s Mega Ultracast

2015-07-06_01_introductionsWe’ve already got two podcast here between the RPG Reload series of podcasts and our normal TouchArcade show, but if you’re looking for another podcast to listen to consider checking out Arash & Eli’s Mega Ultracast. I’ve teamed up with Arash Keshmirian, the CEO and one of the cofounders of Limbic Software to record a more free-form industry-centic developer-focused podcast every couple weeks. Arash has similarly been around in the iOS world forever, and chances are you’ve played at least one of his games between Zombie Gunship (Free), Tower Madness ($2.99), Tower Madness 2 (Free) or others.

We kick off the show with an introduction and a brief discussion of the early 360iDev conference that I met Arash and so many other indie developers who have since gone on to be remarkably successful on the App Store. From there, we move on to discussing upcoming products in both virtual reality and augmented reality along with the somewhat similar challenges those platforms are going to need to overcome to reach the kind of adoption rates they’re going to need to be as mass market relevant as smartphones have become. Finally, we pick apart Fallout Shelter (Free), focusing more on the business side of things and how the game is breaking nearly every rule of free to play but still monetizing remarkably well.

If this sounds even remotely interesting to you, give our first episode a listen. If you’ve got suggestions for other topics of discussion or other games you want us to analyze, feel free to drop a comment on this story.
