Back in January, Ravenous Games announced Devious Dungeon 2, a sequel to 2014’s action platformer with roguelike elements Devious Dungeon ($2.99). We quite enjoyed the original Devious Dungeon in our review, despite a few flaws, so we’ve been pretty excited at the prospect of an improved sequel. One of the major improvements in Devious Dungeon 2 is the addition of 3 character classes–Rogue, Mage and Barbarian–which all play differently from one another and should inject some much-needed variety into the Devious Dungeon formula. Ravenous has finally wrapped up Devious Dungeon 2 and has announced that it’ll be making its way to the App Store this Thursday, April 9th. Check out this epic new trailer.
After having my fill of Devious Dungeon after it released last year, I recently picked it up again in anticipation of the sequel, and you know what? That game is just damn fun, even the second time through. Even if Devious Dungeon 2 merely achieves the same level of success as the original, I’ll be a happy gamer, but all signes point to this new one surpassing the first in pretty much every way. We’ll find out Thursday, or more accurately Wednesday night, when Devious Dungeon 2 launches in the App Store.
