Zombie-Obstructing Endless Runner ‘Corridor Z’ Hits the App Store This Week

If you recall, we posted a while back about Corridor Z, a sort of reverse take on the endless runner: instead of watching behind-the-back of a runner, you’re running toward the screen, trying to take out zombies that are chasing after you by throwing down obstacles as you run across them, making turns as they happen, and picking up weapons to take out zombies. It’s an interesting twist on a very familiar genre, as while the core of “swipe to survive" is the same, the premise makes it feel different. The good news is that Corridor Z will be making it out worldwide this Thursday, April 2nd.

The game will be free-to-play, with upgrades available for your weapons to more effectively deal with the oncoming zombies, boosts to help you out at the beginning, and revives to keep a run going. There is only one currency, no wait timers, and incentivized video ads so you can get more rations (the game’s currency) for free, but there’s also a doubler available for $4.99. Between the interesting gameplay and the structure that has you completing missions with three different characters to progress and unlock further upgrades, this should be worth checking out on Thursday, April 2nd. Check out the forum thread for the game, people have been chatting about this one, and some of our readers have gotten to beta test the game to tweak the final version.
