If you listened to our podcast this week, this might be old news to you… But if you don’t (What the hell, man?), this week we’re getting a brand new game from the dynamic duo behind Mikey Shorts ($1.99), Mikey Hooks ($1.99) and Mikey Boots ($1.99). It’s called Radical, and it’s basically their spin on the endlessly and brutally difficult free ad-sponsored game that Flappy Bird made so popular. But, enough words, you need to stop whatever it is you’re doing and watch this trailer immediately:
We’ve been playing Radical over the weekend, and it’ll fit perfectly in the folder full of similar quick pick up and play freebies. In game you play as a little triangle, and avoid gates as you zoom upwards. It’s kind of like the 2015 version of Falldown on the TI-83, with catchy music. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to my bowl of Mikey Munch before it gets all soggy. Oh, Radical launches on the 12th, so strap in for that.
Looks funnnn.. Can't wait 👾👾👾
This looks like the shiznittlebamsnipsnapsally. My kind of casual game fosho..
Oh I love me some super meat boy, I have a feeling this is the closest we'll get. This type of plat former is right up my alley, looks like it controls nice I guess we'll see
A countdown timer? Ugh. I know it helps add to the frantic and urgent nature of this kind of game, but I don't like being rushed. I'll have to check it out anyway and form a better opinion.
