If you grew up in the ’80s, then you no doubt are familiar with He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, the iconic Saturday morning cartoon about a noble prince and his pet kitty whose alter egos were a buffed-out barbarian and an armor-plated jungle cat, respectively.
If you’re jonesing to haaaave the poweeerrrrr all over again, then Chillingo and Glitchsoft will have you covered this fall with He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe. IGN has the scoop including the first screens from the game, a few of which you can see below.
He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe looks to be of the hack ‘n slash variety, which is basically a perfect fit. There will be 27 levels featuring familiar locations and characters from the cartoon, as well as upgradeable weapons and items for your character. IGN has a whole gallery of additional screens of He-Man, so be sure to check those out, and count me amongst those who are anxiously waiting to have my nostalgia bone tickled when The Most Powerful Game in the Universe launches later this year.
