After all the “excitement" this week that was the Zynga Unleashed and Google I/O keynotes, I hope you’ve got enough energy left for a heaping helping of new game releases. Tonight is host to a massive array of games hitting the App Store. I wonder if everyone is trying to avoid the 4th of July next week, or if this is just a coincidence? Either way, all of these games should be available everywhere at 11:00 PM Eastern:
The Amazing Spiderman, $6.99 – Forum Thread – We got a look at this at E3, and swinging around the city while fighting bad dudes was a lot of fun.
Chasing Yello, 99¢ – Forum Thread – An endless vertical runner of sorts where you play as a fish. Seems legit.
Chicken Doom, $2.99 – Forum Thread – Playing as a yeti fighting off waves of chicken, we’re really reaching to come up with conflicts for games it seems!
Cthulhu Saves the World, $2.99 – Forum Thread – As seen in the above video, we’ve had our hands all over this game. If you like retro RPGs, get it.
Crabs and Penguins, Free – Forum Thread – We actually got our hands on this game back at E3, and I really can’t believe it’s free. It’s part of a Coke advertising campaign, but there’s no in-your-face branding to speak of.
Doodle Fit 2: Around the World, 99¢ – Forum Thread – Crazy about the original Doodle Fit? Want to take a trip around the world? Well, here you go.
Dynamite Jack, $2.99 – Forum Thread – Some awesome stealth gameplay, a cool level editor, and a full review coming your way very soon.
Frisbee Forever 2, Free – Forum Thread – I thought the original Frisbee Forever was a surprising amount of fun for a frisbee game, so I’m expecting big things of the sequel.
Gibs n Glory, 99¢ – Forum Thread – I really am not sure what you do in this game, but it’s from Thunder Game Works, which means I’m sure it’ll be fun- Whatever you do.
Kingdom Rush, 99¢ – Forum Thread – We liked this game quite a bit when it was released on the iPad. (Check out our review!) Now it’s available for the iPod touch and iPhone.
Left2Die, 99¢ – Forum Thread – According to the iTunes text, this is “The greatest zombie shooter ever created," and who am I to argue?
Moleheart, 99¢ – Forum Thread – I’m really not sure what this game is all about, but it’s free, involves moles, and has a title that plays off a Mel Gibson movie. That seems noteworthy.
Platoonz, 99¢ – Forum Thread – A side scrolling squad-based shooter from Chillingo.
Tanglers, 99¢ – Forum Thread – A… match two from Chillingo?
Unstoppable Fist, 99¢ – Forum Thread – This is my favorite iOS game trailer that’s been released recently, and I can’t wait to see how the actual gameplay plays out.
