Team Phobic Brings ‘Bounce On Lite’ to App Store

Team Phobic has just released Bounce On Lite [App Store], a free “lite" version of its Mario-style 2D platformer that offers a subset of the features of the original Bounce On [$3.99 App Store].

In Bounce On, a red ball has accidentally fallen out of someone’s pocket and it’s the player’s job to guide it home while picking up gems and power-ups along the way and avoiding (or squashing) enemies, Mario-style.  The ball is controlled via tilt with a tap to the screen to bounce.  The graphics are simplistic, cartoony and colorful, also evoking a Mario-esque feel.

We took a look at Bounce On last month and found it to offer an enjoyable 2D platform experience that helps fill the dearth of such titles in the App Store rather nicely.

See our demonstration video of the paid app, Bounce On.

I hope everyone gives the lite a go - it offers quite a bit of game play for a free edition. There's already a thread on the forums discussing the lite version - drop by if you feel like it!

Just to let you know, the first update for the full version is done and includes 50 new levels (for a total of 150) and some bug fixes and tweaks. It's going to show up in the App Store as soon as Apple reviews it! The level editor is next on the agenda and should be out shortly! (we appreciate your patience :)

Sold... watched the first 10 seconds of the video, then deleted my copy of Labyrinth Lite and bought the full version of this one.

Graphics are great, the addition of 3D ball manipulation is fantastic, and I dug the small touch of seeing the last ball rolling along the inside of the labyrinth... nice job. Very nice job.

I bought both versions of this game. I find this one to be far better but I like the solid view of the first as well. Hopefully this one will fix the calibration issue I am having and further refine the game play. I will keep my hopes up of a fixed view as it will give a whole new feel to the game.

Also the menu system is brilliant.

Game is excellent, Star-awards is step forward, but what about some top list of all players (as e.g. in edge update? but without deleting current scores :) )

This game is graphically awesome but difficult to play, somehow.
