Back in early March, we told you that HeroCraft was looking for beta testers for the mobile port of their hit Steam game Tempest: Pirate Action RPG, which as you might guess is a pirate-themed action RPG. About a month later, we learned that the game was just about finished and was scheduled to launch on April 18th. Today I woke up and looked at the calendar, and noticed that the date is April 18th. You see where this is going? Yes, as of this morning Tempest: Pirate Action RPG [$7.99] is now available on the App Store and if you've missed our previous coverage you can see it in action in the following trailer.

Tempest is a fully paid premium game, clocking in at $7.99 with no IAP and offering up over a hundred quests to complete in its single-player story-driven campaign. In addition to that, if you feel like being a more social pirate, you can battle other players online in PvP or you can team up and go at enemies in cooperative fashion. All this while tricking out and customizing your very own pirate ship and exploring three large open world areas. It all sounds very cool and the early impressions rolling into our forums are skewing quite positive, so if you need a little pirate action to supercharge your Tuesday then grab Tempest: Pirate Action RPG with the link below.

    Basically Assassin's Creed: Pirates.

    • gquiller

      But, which is better?

  • Mariko

I'm wondering if it's entirely ship/water based? Or is there the ability to dock at a port, and explore the islands? If so, it'll be an instabuy for me!

    • boydstr

Way to repetitive this could be so much better.

  • Cerberus_17

Does anyone know if this has single player?

    • GalDrogo

      Way way better then AC:Pirates.
If you like GoF Premiums you'll find similiar elements here that you'll love.

Its single player with optional co-op with up to two friends and also pvp. Again optional.

No data requirements for SP and no connection needed to play SP.

Controls really well, great graphics under 400mb file. Difficulty slider, Easy Medium and Hard. Absolutely love that they included the Tap on Water to move ship and the Auto fire when Targetting System is at 100%.

      Definately a good buy imo
