While I'm sure there will be people out there who are disappointed that Chair's next game isn't Infinity Blade IV, they've recently soft launched Battle Breakers, and what we've seen so far seems pretty cool. Gameplay involves smashing gems, collecting characters, and progressing through all sorts of different challenges. Check out the game in action:

Battle Breakers is soft launched in Australia, and currently chair is shooting for an official worldwide launch sometime later this year.

So they cancel that cool-looking Diablo-style game to come back years later with this freemium crapfest? WTF happened?

To be fair, ChAIR was not developing Infinity Blade Dungeons. Also, ChAIR seems to have little to do with this game. Hardsuit Labs and ChAIR provided support, but Epic Games developed this In-House, but not with the entire team at ChAIR. ChAIR team is working on SpyJinx.

It's surprisingly fun if you like Social RPGs and can deal with the typical Freemium Aspects.

I'm far more disappointed it isn't a Shadow Complex sequel.
