Although I've never played a God Eater game, the description of the upcoming God Eater Online, the first time the series is coming to mobile, got me very interested. Apparently, the PC version of the game, called God Eater 2 Rage Burst, has been called the best Monster Hunter-like game on PC, which is enough to get me excited. God Eater Online will be a F2P MMO with features such as the ability to request support from nearby players when facing a powerful enemy. From the description, it looks like you'll be jumping in and out of the MMO part of the world, with story missions, which can be played in single-player, taking about 10 minutes to play.

God Eater Online

I like this kind of a set up where you can play by yourself and then call upon other players to join you when needed. It makes mobile MMOs easier to play. The game should be making its way to our shores, so needless to say, I'm keeping an eye on God Eater Online.

Gods Eater is the series that initially got me into Monster Hunter in the first place. It will always be my favorite.

It's a great series, i'm just now replaying Resurrection on Vita and then i'm diving for the first time in GE2.
Nicest thing about GE is that it has an arguably predictable plot that's well delivered.
I mean, it's one of the usual post apocalyptic anime stories that flooded after Evangelion, but it's told in an honest, non redundant way.
Also, although it falls in the MonHun genre ( big beasts/bosses, grind and craft, and so on), it has a very different feel from Monster Hunter.
I'm carefully excited about these news!

Nope, the last things a great game like God Eater needs is a mobile game....
