In typical fashion, Scott Cawthon, of Five Nights at Freddy‘s fame, has been drip feeding us info about the upcoming FNAF spin-off, Sister Location. Thanks to the game’s Steam page, we now have more information about the setting, a few images to go along with that info, as well as a launch date for the PC version. According to Steam, the game will take place in Circus Baby’s Pizza World, “where family fun and interactivity go beyond anything you’ve seen at those *other* pizza places," a clear reference to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. It seems like you’ll be able to do more than just mostly look at cameras this time around.
You’ll assume the role of a late night technician who must enjoy cramped spaces and be comfortable around active machinery. And, of course, the game bears no responsibility for death or dismemberment. The Steam page also includes some new images, which don’t show that much about how the game will play but do give a sense of the mood.
There’s also a new Sister Location teaser image on Cawthon’s page that gently orders you to “Get back on your Stage NOW." The game is supposed to launch for PC in October, although Cawthon is famous for releasing his games earlier than announced. So, what do you make of Sister Location so far? If you’re a FNAF fan, do you think it’s going to draw you back in, and if you haven’t played any of the FNAF games, will you be giving this one a try?
