Craneballs’ ‘Splash Cars’ Will Paint the Town Red, and Green, and More

Craneballs, the developers behind the Overkill series of games, including the recently-released Overkill 3 (Free), are at work at their next game, called Splash Cars. Think that it’s a game about water and cars? Nope, it’s using splash to mean “splash of paint" as you drive around arena maps that look like small portions of cities, painting the town red, and green, and whatever other colors it’s supposed to be, as you drive past. Meanwhile, the police are trying to catch you and stop your reign of colorful terror. Seems like a hybrid of Pako ($1.99) and de Blob ($1.99) to me.

Splash Cars Soft Launch

This one has soft launched in Canada and New Zealand, and is going to be free-to-play, as you unlock new cars, and manage the performance of your current vehicles, and can get more fuel on failed runs for a cost. It looks like a curious game, and it’ll be worth keeping an eye on this one as it gets ready for worldwide launch. Keep an eye on the forum thread for impressions on the game and more updates.
