‘The Journey Down: Chapter 3’ is in Development Right Now

The Journey Down has seen two fantastic entries in the series so far, with the most recent Chapter 2 ($6.99) being an amazing and unique experience. The game is incredibly unique thanks in part to its Afro-Caribbean influence on the stylings, while also being a really cool example of the point-and-click genre. The second chapter ended with a cliffhanger for more adventures to come, and SkyGoblin has unveiled the first glimpses of the new chapter as part of their Kickstarter pitch. It also gives some background on the series, and how the Swedish developers have roots in Africa.

The first two games in the series were both so unlike anything else, while still being great point-and-click adventures. While the games weren’t the biggest sellers, I’m glad to see that SkyGoblin is going to try and stick the landing here. The game is expected to release in September 2016, though of course, estimating when a game will be finished and released is abstract art, not science.
