Mid-nineties adventure game Little Big Adventure (or, known in many parts of the world as Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure) is getting an iOS and Android port courtesy of the retro-porting experts at DotEmu. Back at the time Little Big Adventure was new, games on CD-ROM with full-motion video cutscenes were all the rage, and this game is no different. Little Big Adventure also has a really unique visual style, as well as a cool isometric perspective. DotEmu has all sorts of new features planned for the iOS port to make it more mobile friendly, which are detailed in the following trailer.

If you're like me and have never played Little Big Adventure, this is the gist of the story as explained by DotEmu: "In Little Big Adventure, you play as Twinsen, a young soon-to-be-hero living on Citadel Island in a world ruled by the dictator Dr. FunFrock. You’ve been having strange dreams in which your planet is about to be destroyed. These dreams don’t make Dr. FunFrock particularly happy, and he locks you away in an insane asylum. As Twinsen, you’ll need to escape from your cell and discover your incredible destiny as a descendant of a long line of magicians in charge of protecting your planet’s secret!" Sounds like fun, so hit up our forums and keep an eye out for Little Big Adventure on March 27th.

Shut up and take my money!!!!!! Also take my money for LBA2, I mean, they shouldn't announce LBA without announcing that little masterpiece of LBA2

Bearing in mind the controls were effing awful in the original PC game, I actually think touch-screen update of controls might make it more playable. So saying, I loved the game first time round; looked like nothing else!

    Plus - DOCTOR FUNFROCK!

  • Glamrod

Whoa!!! Extremely trippy to see this little gem surface again. Can't remember if this was windows 95 or 98 lol. Ridiculously hard from what I can remember too...

Oh my glob! And While you are at it... Could you please port "crusader no remorse"?

    • krngq81

I'm so glad I decided to read the comments on this article. I have a special place in my heart for LBA and LBA2. I also spent a TON of time playing Crusader: No Remorse. None of my friends knew what it was. Good to see someone else wanting a port of that.

On my top 3 best games ever...

  • zergslayer69

Oh boy, hope the controls are up to par. Some parts of the game require you to traverse the stage in exact precision and timing (spiky giant ball rolling behind you). But I'll get it anyways for the novelty!

  • SubZeroBR

oh my god, one word: instabuy.

  • 21tigermike

Will it run on my Performa?

  • Kiltedsheep

Oh wow!!! This is so exciting - can't wait.

  • Patt

I so hope the controls are ok. Was quite tricky on the Pc.

  • inteliboy

  • Odulin
