We first heard that Cinemaware’s classic adventure game The King of Chicago was heading to mobile devices way back in August of 2012, but hadn’t heard much news on its progress since then. Today, Cinemaware announced that The King of Chicago is finally ready to roll, and should be arriving on iOS and Android devices at some point this month. Set in the 1930s, The King of Chicago has you starting out as a lowly criminal building up your empire by partaking in all sorts of cool, old-timey gangster activities like drive-bys, briberies, illegal gambling, assassinations and more.
If you can build up your gang and control all of the mob activity in Chicago by a certain date, then you’ll be able to join the illustrious New York crime syndicate, a dream come true for any 1930s era aspiring gangster. No pricing was announced as of yet, but The King of Chicago should be hitting mobile devices “within February" so we’ll keep an eye out for it and let you know when it’s available.
