The last month or so of new releases has been just insane, and it's showing no signs of slowing down. We've already seen a few heavy hitters like Space Hulk and Assassin's Creed Pirates hit the New Zealand App Store earlier today, and Telltale's The Wolf Among Us showed up a bit later too. Now we have another late comer to the party with DotEmu's Double Dragon Trilogy popping up in NZ. Check out the official trailer.

We first learned about Double Dragon Trilogy in late October, and that it would include the original trilogy of arcade games: Double Dragon, Double Dragon 2: The Revenge, and Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone. Being that it's from DotEmu, the folks who have released pixel-perfect ports of other arcade classics like the Metal Slug series, R-Type and Raiden, I think we'll be in for a treat with this one as well. You can check out early impressions in our forums, and look for Double Dragon Trilogy–and I'm sure tons of other new releases–when we round them all up as they hit the US App Store around 11pm EST tonight.

Sweet! Now if they would just give Ninja Gaiden the same treatment!

#Dies FINALLY. I've been waiting for a loooooong time of this release. I wish 'Tendo would get off the idea that the GamBoy is *fall down and worship slaves!* God. One day it was all we had. For many years it was king. If they would actually allow 'Tendo games, at least classic NES titles, to port to iPhones, you'd end up outselling PS4/Xbox combined in total game sales.

(But why don't the GREAT OLD games come back, like Master of Magic?)
