sovlogoWith Warhammer Quest [$2.99] launching earlier this year, Space Hulk set to hit this week, and Space Wolf on the docket for Q2 2014, it's like a Warhammer-palooza in the App Store. Yesterday, Games Workshop announced another partnership to bring yet another Warhammer game to PC and mobile. This latest partnership is with Eutechnyx, who've previously released iOS games like Nascar Redline [$0.99] and Ninja Cats vs Samurai Dogs [$2.99], and the new game is titled Warhammer: Storm of Vengeance.

Details on Storm of Vengeance are sparse at this point, but Eutechnyx describes it as "a lane strategy game" that plays out during the planetary battles on Piscina IV in the Warhammer 40K universe. You'll be able to choose to play on the side of Grand Master Belial as you try to defend the planet's destruction with just 100 Dark Angel Space Marines at your disposal, or you can play the opposite side of that as Ork Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka as you try to annihilate the planet using the Ork Waaagh!

Warhammer: Storm of Vengeance is set for release in the first quarter of 2014, and we'll be sure to bring you any new details as they are available.

There are too many lane based games on the App Store.

When it comes to Warhammer 40k, Dawn of War would be best. Port the first one, build a new one specifically for iOS, whatever.

Is Plants vs Zombies a "lane based strategy game"? Otherwise I have absolutely no idea what the hell that means.

I think something like Dota or League of legends maybe

Dawn of war on iOS would rock, I remember playing the first one on pc years ago.

After this, the WH franchise will have covered almost every genre. Now all we need is a Space Marine Kart Racer game.

So take Ninja Cats vs Samurai Dogs and paint a Warhammer 40k theme on it and we should have the new game. Since this is coming out so soon after the announcement it only makes sense they're using the same engine here. If this is the case, color me skeptical.

Are the Eldar allergic to iOS? We've got Chaos, Tyranids, Space Marines and now Orks, so perhaps the Eldar are next.

    I hope.
