namcobandaiThe Tokyo Game Show is kicking off later this week, and NamcoBandai Games have revealed their lineup of titles which they'll be showing off at the event.

There's a plethora of console and handheld games in the full list over at Polygon, but for our particular audience I'll focus just on the mobile stuff.

No information about these titles was provided just yet, but here's the extensive list of iOS and Android games just in there's something here that excites you.

  • Gundam Conquest (iOS, Android)
  • Tales of Link (iOS)
  • Digimon Crusader (iOS, Android)
  • DragonBall Tap Battle (iOS, Android)
  • Gather of Dragons (Android)
  • Guilty Dragon (iOS, Android)
  • Gundam Area Wars (iOS, Android)
  • Gundam Card Battler (iOS, Android)
  • Masked Rider Break Joker (iOS, Android)
  • One Piece: Running Chopper - Chopper to Kizuna no Shima (iOS, Android)
  • One Piece : Straw Hat Pin Ball Marineford Chojo Senso (iOS, Android)
  • One Piece : Straw Hat Wars Kaizoku Defence (iOS, Android)
  • Pac-Man Dash! (iOS, Android)
  • SD Gundam Generation Frontier (iOS, Android)
  • Super Robot Wars Card Chronicle (iOS, Android)
  • Super Sentai Bato Base (iOS, Android)

It's entirely possible a lot of these won't ever make it to the US App Store, and some stuff like Pac-Man Dash! has already been out for several months over here. Still, it's exciting to see what may become of some of these titles, and while we won't physically be at Tokyo Game Show we'll be keeping you up-to-date on any of the news that comes out of the show this week, so stay tuned.

Gundam AND One Piece games?! That made my day.

  • dribblejam

Runners, card battlers, and pinball games? They all seem like mini-games to me.

  • Rejera

Anyone else a little disappointed that soulcalibur wasn't mentioned?

  • zergslayer69

I'm all over the gundam games! (except the card one) Too bad I won't know when they release since TA typically follow only English games.

  • hourglass

    Tales of Link?

  • Boris Nguetie

    • Edwin Ramirez

By the names it seems the first one is a endless runner, the second a pinball game, and the third a tower defense game.

Maybe they'll put in a twist and not suck?

The mention of Gundam grabbed my attention.Gundam Area Wars sounds like a strategy game!

Digimon Crusader? May this be like the first PS1 game?

  • iAmTheWalrus

Been looking forward to Guilty Dragon since its inception. I'd love for it to get a stateside release, but .hack isn't very popular here anymore.

  • {SQUEEK}

No dragon ball fans? All sound great!

Like the article mentioned, some of these have already been released in Japan: I can't vouch for the rest of the list, but I know that at least the Digimon and Dragon Ball games are as old as last year.
I'd reign in your excitement, since the most likely scenario is that most of those won't be launched outside of Japan, as that seems to be Namco Bandai's usual m.o. (they didn't even release games based on Dragon Ball and Naruto - arguably two of the most popular mangas/animes on a global scale). I'd love to be pleasantly surprised, though, and see these games have worldwide releases, but I'm not counting on it.

Couldn't you just purchase these games from the Japanese app store? I know they wouldn't support (language) localization, but that hasn't stopped many of my friends from importing console games. Or would that not work at all?
I understand localization might be a barrier for RPG's and such that are story driven. But button mashers and TD games usually don't take long to figure out thru trial & error.

In the past, I have bought Japanese games from the iTunes store but haven't done so in a while. Recently, buying music doesn't seem possible with Apple's latest Terms and Agreement so I doubt games will fare any better. I just can't understand the business model here...I want to buy and yet I'm being told to go elsewhere...

I'll be checking out the Gundam games, and what look like pinball and tower defense One Piece games too. My hopes aren't very high, though, as most licensed mobile games here are plagued with annoying social features, unoriginal me-too gameplay, coercive IAP, or all three combined.

  • VaudooG33k

I want to get more info about the nee Digimon game!!

  • KusanagiShiro

Tales of Phantasia is on the JP App Store.
