At this stage in the life of the App Store, it's super rare for us to play a puzzle game and genuinely say to ourselves, "Huh, that's neat." Strata is one of those games, and ticks all the boxes a good puzzle game should have in that its core concept is really simple, yet it somehow manages to stump you- At least until you get that total puzzle game epiphany where you're like, "Ohhhhh yeeeaaahhh."

Check it out:

Strata should be available tonight at 11:00 PM Eastern, and if you want to check out what our community is saying about the game be sure to check out the thread for the game.

    I'm sold.

Looks a lot like a simplified version of Colorbind to me.

  • HelperMonkey

Sad that I'm colorblind, because this looks cool.

  • curtneedsaride

I want to get this, but I still don't get it. I just wish I could understand why a certain ribbon needs to go on top of another or how a solution is the right solution. Sounds and looks attractive though.

There can only be two ribbons crossing each other over each square. To get the right solution you have to "mark" each square with the same coloured ribbon. Only the ribbon that goes on top out of the two ribbons is marking the square - thus; it's all about trying to figure out which color and ribbon should go in which sequence so that you end up with all the squares marked.

I urge you to get this awesome game. You will understand it as soon as you start playing it :-)

I watched the video and still didn't have a clue what was going on... Back to where's my water 2 I guess.
