If you were thinking, "Hey, I haven't shot a zombie in awhile" this morning, well, we've got great news for you: Nexon Mobile has released Combat Arms: Zombies [$4.99], the first-person spin on the fairly popular series' Fireteam mode. Users have been reporting all kinds of crash bugs since its release, but a new update might have firmed that out. Either way, it's still available at its special holiday pricing of $4.99.

Earlier this October, we brought you a first-word because it looked so darn impressive. Functionally, the game does more than look pretty -- it offers players "a hand-picked selection" of guns, has a ton of carnage, customization, and control schemes, and even gives current Combat Arms Online players free weapons in its combat shop with the redemption of a bonus code. Gotta love tie-ins.

    I wasn't.

    Hundreds of guns? Really? Wow.

Actually, no not really. The app info on iTunes says there are over 300 guns in the online version. The "hand-picked selection of weaponry" in this game comprises of about 20 weapons. That should be edited.

I'm thinking about buying this game. Anyone on here play it yet? How does it compare to Modern Combat 3 (I still haven't started this game yet on my iPHone)?

Another arena defence game!?!?? Well FU!!!!!!!!

I really hope there is eventually co-op or versus, then the game will be like the iOS version of left4dead.

This just looks like you fight off swarms of zombies. Lame and expensive.

$4.99 is "expensive" to you? On a $500 device? Wow... How's that government cheese and food stamps working out for you?

Just as Facebook and YouTube have made the people of today more narcissistic, the AppStore has made the people of today more stingy.

is this even 3D? I looks like 2d images representing 3D imagery when I saw the screenshots.

Yes, it is in 3D. It runs on Unreal Engine 3 and actually looks pretty good.

Bought this today and I'm liking it so far. It looks pretty good, and is one of the smoothest running games that uses Unreal Engine 3 on iOS. Gameplay is fairly basic right now, but I've been having fun with it. You move around levels and kill zombies until the wave ends. Your ammo and health is then replenished, and the next wave starts. The pistol has unlimited ammo, so if you run out of ammo for the rifle, you'll have to rely on it until the wave ends. There are 3 types of zombies that I've encountered so far- a standard zombie, a bomb zombie (blows up upon death), and a fast moving zombie (which leaves behind explosive bits). The controls aren't bad, but they also aren't great. The best control setting for me was screen tap 2. Running could've been handled better, because you have to hold an onscreen button down, and it's location isn't very good. The biggest issue I've had so far is that the dialouge text is too small to read far away. Overall, a pretty good game. Fairly basic right now, but hopefully more will be added in updates. What this game really needs is some multiplayer- co-op and vs. modes would be awesome. Compared to similar games like Desert Zombie, it's pretty good.
