Have you scoped the latest version notes on Street Fighter 4: Volt [$2.99]? We did this morning and were stoked to see what they had to share. On top of 60 new icons, a “Friend Request” button, and a few tweaks, Capcom has added two new (old) pugilists to the action: fan favorite Fei Long and the uber-powerful brat Yun. With these guys included, the roster has expanded to 22 fighters, but let’s be serious, Guile is still the only character that matters.

Oh! And Volt is much cheaper than what it was -- until the end of this month, it’s $2.99 instead of $6.99. You could buy a, uh, liter of frozen yogurt or a really classy hotdog with those savings!

Anyway, it appears as though Capcom Mobile is committed to updating Volt as much as it did the its first proper mobile Street Fighter game, Street Fighter 4 [$4.99]. If this is indeed the case, you’d probably be better off with Volt in the long-term. Here’s our review if you’re interested in learning more about the game.

Is there any chance of a HD version? ;/

I feel like that would be a bad idea as the controls would be hard to manage. (unless you had iCade in which case it would be so much better)

    Awwwwwwww yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, Bruce Leeeeeeeeeeee

Any clues as to whether Capcom may be adding more characters or not? :3

Supposedly the games files make mention of an Evil Ryu, though really, they could add anyone, so expect anyone.

I wouldn't mind knowing why Capcom Mobile have stopped updated Capcom Arcade. It was supposed to get monthly updates, which then slipped to every two months and now there's been nothing for ages. I got excited the other day when there was an update but it was just changing the number of free tokens per day from 3 to 10.

Given that 'Final Fight' was released today as a standalone app, and the three SFII titles were also released as 'Street Fighter II Collection' I would hazard a guess that Capcom's handheld arcade has gone the way of real-world ones...

Seems to me like they're just unbundling stuff as an option. People like 99 cent apps. And BulkSlash -- giving away more free tokens seems like a good thing to me.

Yeah I'm not unhappy they're giving away more free tokens (it doesn't really affect me as I tend to buy all the games I want to play) I was mostly annoyed that the patch they released was enormous. Given how long it took me to download I think it actually re-downloaded the whole 450MB of the app, and all just to add some extra tokens.

I don't have any preference to whether Capcom sell games individually or as part of the arcade, I just wish they would release more stuff, there's loads of classics like AvP, SF Alpha, SFIII, UN Squadron, etc still waiting to be ported and with a monthly release cycle I was hoping we would be getting stuff like that every month.

lol gg now that Yun is out it won't matter who you play if they aren't Yun, you're gonna get bodied. The ONLY exception being Fuudo but somehow I doubt he plays Volt.
