Hands On Video of Gamevil's Upcoming Vanquish

Gamevil has posted a hands on gameplay video of their upcoming game iPhone game Vanquish: The Oath of Brothers which is due for launch this Friday.

The game's story is based on the Three Kingdoms and is set on horseback. The gameplay video and mechanic feels somewhat similar to Hybrid but in an ink-wash art style.

Vanquish will launch at $2.99 this Friday.

      Yeah! Though I'm amazed at how they were able to condense the "whole game" into 5:52 video. ;)

    Very beautiful game. But no fun for me personally. Saw the video. Even looking at the thumb frenetically pushing the virtual knob 100 times a minute looks somehow painful and hurts.
    Attack should been done automatically - like the legs automatically move in Canabalt.
    Obstacles to avoid, things to collect. Game should be more about clever and timed moving the avatar instead of doing bone dry stupid work. Should be more the Canabalt or Run! system. Even in Minigore you dont have to push the trigger for every single shoot.

    that crazy scrolling zooming tilting camera effect looks awful. I see what they were trying to do, but its way over the top.

    A simple zoom out would have done it
