SauceDigital has released their first iPhone game into the App Store. Killer Pool [App Store, $2.99] promises to be "the most realistic pool experience" on the iPhone. Features listed include:
- Accurate and easy to use controls.
- Shooting using finger swipe or power meter.
- Authentic spin and swerve.
- Realistic physics.
- Rich, lifelike graphics.
- Official APA 8 Ball and 9 Ball rules, WEPF Black Ball rules, and official table/ball/pocket sizes.
- Single player, 2 player or multiplayer modes.
- Play your own music in the back ground.
To be honest, we haven't really explored all the pool games in the App Store, but the developer's video of their game looks particularly impressive and realistic. They demo how to apply aim, spin and swerve the ball:

World Championship Pool 2009 is my favorite. It's awesome.
Sounds like a good genre for a roundup review. I'd certainly like to know which is the 'best' of the current crop.
@ Tony:
My preference-
1. Virtual P.
2. World Championship P.
3. Killer P.
4. Midnight P.
5. Vegas Pool Sharks
Ditto, I could use a good pool game, but which one to buy?! Let us know TouchArcade!!
Yeah – Killer Pool looks neat – love the fact you can play a swerve / masse shot
think I'd like option to remove guide line though
like the different tables in Virtual Pool – and the look of the game just seems a bit more 'real' – swipe to play in VP works pretty well but now and again lets you down – killer's method look less likely to result in way over/under hit shots
the fact Killer has UK rules option, may well mean I'll have to get it – as much as I like VP
