Bad Hanson Well-Known Member Apr 13, 2009 513 0 0 Somnambulist The Westcountry UK #7 Bad Hanson, Jan 24, 2011 Watching the second (French) video. What the F**k is going on with the one on the ipad. Every time he tries to select something he fails over and over: even as the camera pans away he just gives up on pressing/prodding at the screen. Also what's with twisting the ipad???...all this sent a big no-no down my brainstem. Judging by your statements about the ipad version being the clear version of choice does this mean my concerns are unfounded? Also I like to be able to reach all the gameplay elements with my thumbs I'm not one for tapping the center of the screen to shoot while holding the ipad, way too clunky. If you'd care to comment, am I better off with the iphone version? My main reason for preferring the iPad is because like the original Dead Space there's lots of stuff you want to see in the game such as writing on the walls and other subtleties that get blocked out by your thumbs on the iPhone. Jongjungbu Well-Known Member Jan 24, 2011 368 0 0 #13 Jongjungbu, Jan 24, 2011 Wow, steep price tag. But looking at the graphics and framerate and such on the iPad video posted, you definitely get what you pay for. Looks like a quality production. I will have to buy it anyway tonight. Still a LOT cheaper than what I paid for the roughly the same game length and good-graphics God of War series on my PSP. Red1 Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Nov 26, 2010 2,011 6 38 Pre-occupied 42.1 #19 Red1, Jan 24, 2011 Price I have mixed feelings on the price. My initial response is that it's too high. And history has shown that rushing in on day one can be disappointing when many games drop their prices slightly later. I agree with you. I am concerned that iPad game prices might keep rising, via the purchase price and in game purchases. The cheap software is a great part of having an iPad and it feels like prices are edging upwards. On the other hand, a lot of work goes into a game like this, so I expect to pay more than the low end prices. This price is comparable to watching a movie, but lasts longer and I get to keep it. If people say "I will wait for it to be $1" ... This may put companies off doing great deals. We should say "thanks for the great deal" but not necessarily expect all their software to be at that price. Looking forward to the forum feedback on the game, so I can decide if the cost is justified. heffdog116 Well-Known Member Oct 21, 2009 1,369 0 0 South Florida #20 heffdog116, Jan 24, 2011 I know the iPad screen is bigger, but anything else besides graphics that the iPad version will have? I only ask because it seems you get more bang for your buck with the normal version since I dont mind playing games in 2x (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
