i would love to know this too. i bought it recently so i could have a few more games for my new iCade core, but i can't figure it out. i'm using a iPad 1 running iOS 5.1.1. thanks in advance for any help.
Sorry I haven't updated in a while. It should be updated, if I missed any please post in this thread and PM me. Added: Silverfish Endless Space Shooter ExZeus 2 (well killercow did, I added the review though) Dig! Samurai Shodown Mech Pilot League of Evil 3 Totally Sweet Sudoku (found this on AppShopper, its update note says "-Added iCade support just because." just made me lol) Rocket Pirate! 80's World! Bubble Quest Ballistyx
Don't worry, thanks for effort. I bet ION put into production a WFi iCade later this year. I agree with you. Let's see.
I hope iON put softer springs in the buttons of new iCade... and add an 8 way restrictor plate so that up right left down is more accurate. Edit: A switch to allow for classic iCade mode would be great too. All the old iCade games would still work.
Thanks again, Laxking! I think this is the place to report bugs like that: http://disneyinteractivestudios.custhelp.com/app/utils/login_form/redirect/ask If/when there's a MFi iCade, I for one (assuming I get any of my games done) will support the classic iCade and Bluetooth controllers as well, for some time to come! It's not that hard to do, and there are many users of such controllers. (In the long run, the classic iCades will probably end up prized mainly by Blutrol/jailbreak people.) Also, I use ControllerMate to connect my iCades to Mac games, and that should work pretty much forever.
Does anybody know what I need to do to get paper monsters playing with my ICade mobile? I know it's supported but I cannot find a way to select it. Did something go wrong with an update that they didn't but this game? I am dying to play this game!
June 11 v1.5.1 release has killed iCade support in Paper Monsters apparently. Not working for me anymore.
That is complete and utter nonsense. This is one of the best games to have Icade compatibility! @ developer: help your fans out and correct this issue. I only purchased this game because it was a must have for my Icade library! I'll be eagerly awaiting the update which will give back the previous functionality.
In that case, I'll have to dig up the Nov. 2012 v1.5 from my Time Machine backup. But I'll lose my progress, so it's a last resort. Hopefully this and Fix-It Felix will get their iCade support back! (Paper Monsters does still list the feature, so it probably just needs a bug fix.)
@demod1 If you can find email address for Paper Monsters developer, politely submit a bug report (removal of iCade support is almost certainly an innocent mistake). Developer email addresses are often in app description. If no luck there, you could try posting in official thread (see elsewhere in Touch Arcade forums). @Adams Immersive I am quite sure iCade support was deliberately removed from Fix-It Felix and Wreck-It Ralph. Maybe developers were concerned that they had added something that they were not officially asked to include by Disney.
According to the developer on another forum, Delta-V Racing will include iCade at launch. The game is coming out later this month I believe. I think there's a thread somewhere on TA but you'll have to do a search.
I agree if you arent happy about something like iCade support disappearing simply contact the dev first, secondly write in the thread here. But contacting the dev directly is far better than posting about it here which will do nothing
Delta-V Racing Thanks for the mention laxking97, you can find the thread here http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=195200
Heads up: TouchArcade recently quoted this article in one of their front page stories http://readwrite.com/2013/07/16/super-mario-zips-through-a-loophole-in-apples-app-restrictions The emulator discussed is GBA4iOS which is based on the code of gpSPhone. It does not have iCade support like gpSPhone, however. Is this due to support being removed or because GBA4iOS is based on a pre-iCade build of gpSPhone? TouchArcade story http://toucharcade.com/2013/07/16/enterprise-program-loophole-allowing-emulators-on-ios/ Edit: Loophole has now been closed http://toucharcade.com/2013/07/17/enterprise-program-loophole-that-allowed-emulators-unsurprisingly-closed-by-apple/
All right, I updated it to include R.Type. Connector will probably be back in the next week or so, so this thread will probably pick up a little but then.
