The space bucks came from killing creatures (they obviously like to keep their wallet on them whilst becoming a necromorph) and robbing employee's lockers. However, I am not sure if they have decided to instigate IAP's for this or if it is the same mechanic here. Edit: hmm, just read russiaone post, i will wait and see on these IAP's russiaone Well-Known Member Jan 4, 2009 1,300 0 36 Pimp San Francisco #15 russiaone, Jan 24, 2011 According to IGN the IAP only consists of nodes, and then you can only buy so many, before you acquire the rest in-game. http://wireless.ign.com/articles/114/1145055p1.html I recently spoke to EA about a few outstanding questions in regard to the iOS version. Apparently, the way In-App Purchases have been explained is incorrect. The new system, as described to me, clears up my initial hesitations. You cannot buy weapons with In-App Purchases. You must actually find those. What you can buy, though, are power nodes to upgrade weapons. However, you may only buy so many power nodes total before you're cut off and left to just find those that exist in Dead Space's 12 stages. This seems much more balanced and no longer sounds like a cash grab. Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #16 Gabrien, Jan 24, 2011 Well, the thing that suggests that it is IAPs to me the most, is that they say the store is "built into the context of the Dead Space environment." Were they not talking about IAPs, that would go without saying. vbxz47 Well-Known Member May 28, 2009 1,028 0 0 Ohio #17 vbxz47, Jan 24, 2011 Omg can't wait! metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #18 metalcasket, Jan 24, 2011 291mbs? It's still cool on the iPhone, but overall seems to be a much better experience on the iPad. Also, I wouldn't get your panties in a twist over the IAP. It seems to just be your typical pay to cheat IAP where you can get nodes which you then use to upgrade your equipment. Power nodes can also be found in game, but they're hidden in lockers usually off the path that your little navigator thing guides you. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
