Dan Bliss, President & CEO of Binary Square has informed us that both Space Out [App Store] and Spinblox [App Store] have been reduced in price to $2.99 (from $4.99) in the iTunes App Store.
Space Out can be simply described as Space Invaders meets Arkanoid. The playfield closely resembles Space Invaders; it consists of rows of aliens that move across the screen, slowly advancing towards the bottom, firing down at the player all the while.
But in this case, the player is not a movable laser turrett, but an Arkanoid style paddle that is controlled by swiping a finger across the screen in an attempt to deflect a ball upwards towards the aliens, destroying them upon impact. We previously reviewed this title.
Spinblox is a falling block colorful puzzle game which started life on the web before landing on the iPhone and iPod touch. Gameplay involves the player swiping his or her finger over two adjacent blox in order to spin them. The goal is to line up three or more of the same color blox in order to create a set. All sets are removed with each wave, every few seconds.
