Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and Mistwalker’s Fantasian () is something we’ve been covering for a while now. When it arrived earlier this year as the first part, we held off on reviewing it until the whole story was complete. With part two finally available recently, Shaun had a lot to say about it. Read his full review of Fantasian here. With a new update that went live a few days ago fixing some bugs and adding a new low graphics option, Hironobu Sakaguchi revealed that a big update is coming soon with a new mode and dungeon. If you missed the behind-the-scenes video showcasing how the team produced an explosive scene, read this. Fantasian has an amazing soundtrack. Watch a bit of Nobuo Uematsu’s performance from the score below:
This future update doesn’t have a confirmed date but it is “coming soon" and it will add a bonus dungeon and the long-awaited new game plus mode. In the current game version, this bonus dungeon gives players a pop up saying that it will be added in a future update and it looks like the wait for that will be over soon. More details on this update aren’t available, but I assume it will add native M1 support for macOS again. That was removed in a prior update temporarily.
