Following the previous Minecraft Earth (Free) 0.26.0 or R26 update that brought in Challenge Season 10: Dark Forest, a new update for the game has rolled out worldwide on iOS. Minecraft Earth has been getting updated every week more or less with a new challenge season, new mobs, and a lot more. Today’s update is the 0.27.0 (R27) update with a new challenge season, a new mob, new blocks, bug fixes, and more. Challenge Season 11: Redstone begins soon. This will have you building mechanical creations with new challenges and rewards. If you plan on taking part, you should consider stocking up on Redstone for the new pistons and sticky pistons also added in today’s update. For this update the Patched Sheep is the new mob that will be available in tappables near you. Watch the Minecraft Earth trailer below:

If you’ve not kept up with iOS 14’s ARKit improvements, read this. It is going to be interesting to see if Minecraft Earth makes use of these features in the future. Music from the game and Minecraft Dungeons will be used in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with the Steve and Alex Challenger Pack DLC as well.
