League of Legends: Wild Rift was revealed alongside other projects from Riot Games for multiple platforms including mobile a while ago. League of Legends: Wild Rift brings the fast paced gameplay and action of League of Legends to mobile and console platforms. It includes the same 5v5 PvP gameplay but it has been built from the ground up for mobile and console controls. Today, a developer showcase revealed not only the first actual gameplay of League of Legends: Wild Rift but also a closed alpha test. The closed alpha test is initially limited but it will be rolling out to more regions later in the year. Watch the full gameplay showcase below:
Riot Games emphasizes that all heroes can be earned for free in League of Legends: Wild Rift and you can’t pay for playtime or power in it. It also will include a 3D model viewer. Matches are planned to be between 15 and 20 minutes long. If you’re interested in checking it out, you can pre-register for it on Google Play for Android here. The initial closed alpha test will be a two week one in Brazil and Philippines and will roll out to those who registered in those regions during the League anniversary announcements. An App Store page is still “coming soon". What do you think of the gameplay so far and are you looking forward to League of Legends: Wild Rift on mobile or console platforms?
