TouchArcade Rating:

Last week, Apple brought another game to the service in the form of Winding Worlds () from KO_OP. Today, we get a new release from Cobra Mobile in the form of Towers of Everland () which is a grid based first person dungeon crawler with a nice aesthetic. Your aim in Towers of Everland is to rebuilt “Great City" ass you slay multiple enemies, find better gear, unlock guilds, and more. It looks like Apple is back to one new release each week with a few game updates. Watch the Apple Arcade launch trailer for Towers of Everland below:

Towers of Everland is a single player experience with loads of quests waiting for you across multiple towers. I haven’t played a first person dungeon crawler since I restarted Etrian Odyssey Nexus on 3DS last month so this will be something nice to try out on iPhone. If you’re interested in checking it out, Towers of Everland is now available on Apple Arcade. Check it out on the App Store here. I played the first tower. For whatever reason, my brain is having trouble with the controls. To me it makes sense to tap to turn, and slide to strafe, since you also slide to move forward; not tap. But it's backwards and no way I can see to change it.

Also, there's no "finding" anything since treasure appears on the map. If you go into a room there's no treasure icon, it seems there's nothing to look for. You just have to navigate through it if there's an exit somewhere else, or turn around and leave.

It feels quite basic so far. It looks nice though.

Is there any controller support? The game looks good.

Yup, there is game controller support, as this game is available on the Apple TV as well.
