Levelhead ($6.99) from Butterscotch Shenanigans was revealed a while ago. We checked it out at GDC 2018. Levelhead is a follow up to the amazing Crashlands which was our Game of the Year in 2016. Levelhead was also featured by Nintendo in their Indie Showcase back at PAX West in 2018. After an early access launch on Steam, Butterscotch Shenanigans revealed a release date for the upcoming release and also had some beta testing slots available. Today, pre-orders for Levelhead have gone live on the App Store. Watch the trailer for it below:
Since this release relies so much on community creations, watch this trailer narrated by Sam Coster of Butterscotch Shenanigans to see what the game is capable of when it comes to design. Levelhead releases on April 30th and you can pre-order it on the App Store right now for $6.99. It even includes leaderboards. I love how the game isn’t just launching on mobile and PC but also multiple storefronts including Xbox One (with Xbox Game Pass), Epic Games Store, and more. Did you try it out on early access or will you be playing it when Levelhead goes live on April 30th?

Great news! I can't believe how many platforms they're putting this on. I'll definitely pick up at least a couple. If they ever port it to my fridge, I may even triple dip.
One of the best parts of Levelhead is the amazing level discovery tools. Finding the level you want is much easier than in, say, Mario Maker.
I’ve been getting their development updates on this one (which are hilarious), and they look like they are determined and able to make this as full-featured and entertaining as a platformer-maker could be.
Level building isn't for me and I don't enjoy the genre, nonetheless, I wish this game success because Butterscotch is an amazing company and they put out quality games.
