Fortnite (Free) Season 8 has ended and it is time to look to the bright future. Season 9 is finally here with a new Battle Pass, new points of interest, updates across the board, and a whole lot more with Patch 9.0.0 rolling out on all platforms beginning now. If you’ve been out of the loop with Fortnite for a while, you can play with 60fps gameplay on certain mobile devices now and full cross platform play is a reality. Season 9 also has a new Battle Pass with over 100 new exclusive rewards. The Battle Pass still costs 950 V-bucks. Buying it nets you the Sentinel Outfit and Rox progressive Outfit instantly. This patch brings Slipstreams which is a new wind transportation system alongside new locations that have sprung up from the ashes like Mega Mall. You can move faster and change direction while moving in a slipstream. In terms of weapons, the Combat Shotgun has been added. Battle Pass owners can now collect Fortbytes that are a series of 100 collectible computer chips. On the mobile front, auto fire will now trigger in vehicles, HUD improvements have been made in the layout tool, quickbar slots delays have been sorted, semi-automatic weapons now fire correctly, and even more issues have been addressed. Item Shop arrows now display correctly on the iPhone XS Max. Watch the Battle Pass trailer below:
