Our forum community is a fantastic place for developers to find early players for their games that can provide invaluable real-world feedback in order to get a game in shape before its official launch. I can’t even count how many games were shaped for the better based on feedback from real players. It’s probably in the thousands! Anyway, one of our favorite developers Godzilab, who you probably know from the incredible iBlast Moki series or the adorable city builder Happy Street, have just soft-launched their new game in Australia and they’re looking for some feedback on it. The game is called Crush Them All and it’s an idle RPG that has you tapping to defeat giant monsters, collecting and upgrading an army of characters, and exploring over 1000 stages.

Godzilab has said that they’re trying a new approach to game development where they release a base game with some of the major components left out so that they can quickly iterate on the core gameplay concepts and get them feeling great before attaching all of the typical social features (like guilds and arenas in this case) that tend to be the long tail of these sort of games. So if you like clickers or similar idle games and have an Australian iTunes account then smash this link to take an early peek at Crush Them All and then let Godzilab know your likes and dislikes in the game’s forum thread. If you lack an Aussie account it’s pretty simple to make one using our guide right here.

I'd like to throw an honorable mention in here of Romancing Saga 2. I'm actually surprised it didn't get a spot on the list given how high a rating it received.
Great list Shaun, it was a good year. My favorite of those has to be Ember. Awesome game.
Apparently we have similar tastes! Got 7 notifications from my watch list just from this article.
Woohoo!!! Golden Poncho winner 2 times in a row! Here's hoping we win another next year with (possibly) two new games in 2017. :)
I have a hard time understanding why anyone likes Demons rise. Im not being contentious; I just don't think it's even close to an enjoyable game and I'm not sure why TA is so big one game that delivers no joy whatsoever to play.
Different people have different tastes, maybe?
Yeah, ultimately Demon's Rise won't be everyone's thing. RPG's generally focus on one or two areas over others. The Demon's Rise games focus on team-based combat and are very light on story. That obviously won't appeal to everyone.
Been a good year for RPGs. I'd have to rank Final Fantasy IX, Teeny Titans, Crashlands and SteamWorld Heist among the best games released on iOS in any year, let alone just 2016. I'm also positive that Sorcery 4 will be as good as the rest of the series - I just haven't got around to it yet.
I'd just like to throw in a mention of 9th Dawn 2, the old-school CRPG and twin-stick shooter mash-up. It's not the most refined RPG released this year, but it's brimming with action, puzzles and exploration, which can't be a bad thing.
Guild of Dungeoneering also deserves another shout - one of those rare games, like Crashlands, that sucked up all my free time till it was done. Interesting card-based combat, nice pen-drawn aesthetic and, best of all, funny.
About the Sorcery series is it worth it if you read the books back in high school because already knowing the full story will it still be as enjoyable?
I think you'd enjoy how they did the translation, even if you were familiar with the books. I'd say try the first one, but with the knowledge that parts II, III and IV are even better.
I picked the fourth one because it was the one I used to have but was too endommaged so I needed to throw it in the trash, will get the rest later
I have to agree. My list would be topped by Final Fantasy IX, Crashlands, Jade Empire, Football Manager Touch, and (though not really an RPG) LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens (the only actual SW game we got for the movie from LAST YEAR)! I would have loved to see a premium action RPG for Rogue One, but it seems Disney and EA are mostly interested in money and not real story-driven gameplay.
Hey guys not sure how I missed it but thanks for the shout out! Stay tuned for my next project I'll be posting in upcoming towards the end of the month!
