’Tis the season for savings, especially for mobile gamers. As it goes every year, there are tons of sales happening right now in the App Store. So many, in fact, that it’s getting to be impractical to do individual posts for games or even entire publishers. Therefore, until the tide subsides somewhat, I’m just going to do round-up posts that collect a bunch of new sales on games for each day. You’ll have to forgive me if they lack the detail of my usual posts or completely recycle the introduction, but one can only do so much at a time. Anyway, enough about that. On to today’s sales highlights!

By Grabthar’s Hammer, what a savings! I know there’s more to come, friends, so make sure you’re dutifully beating up the gangs of River City whenever you can for spare change. You’re going to need every spare cent this year and then some, by the looks of it.
Previous Sales Round-Ups (note some offers may have expired):

Seriously anyone who doesn't have this grab it now!
Very seriously.
Buy!
Agreed!
I'm on this train! Unbelievable amount of content and fun for $1.99! This must be the best year of Christmas sale content since I started with iPhone on my 3G!
Best game ever
So I bought this on launch on Android and played it for a bit and then got bored, now I am on iOS... Are the recent updates enough of a change to pick it up again and play?
It all depends on what you think is enough
Well I think more direction would be good, I honestly did not realize it was story based when I was playing it before? It just seemed like survival, go to next base build up stuff, kill things and repeat.
I bought it though, eh screw it, bought the rally one too. The Rally game is fun I have not played Crashlands yet... too many games right now.
Damn these season sales! My game backlog is packed.
$2! Jump on this people!
Jumped! This is perfect because I have a few hours to kill.
A few? Hahahaha! Your hours are dooomed!
I think I put about 80 hrs into it. I'm sure if you just want to beat the game you can do it in much less, but I did a ton of messing around, and wanted to totally 100% it.
Having said that, you can totally do it in small chunks.
Easy goty for me... I rarely put this many hours into a game.
Haha bought this like 2 hours before the sale. Oh well, glad to support deserving devs.
Yeah just feel glad, even at its base price this little gem feels like a steal
Ow, and I was going to say I got this a few days ago
What a steal!!! Off to advertise it on Twitterbook
I got this game the day it came out because of all the hype. I never could get into it though. What is it that everyone else sees? Most people rave about it. Visually, it's appealing. But in terms of game play, I find it hard to enjoy.
Would this game appeal to someone who couldn't get into Don't Starve?
YES! I generally dislike crafting and survival games, hence why I picked Crashlands up relatively late, but I absolutely loved it. It's just so well done and cuts out a lot of the tedious stuff from games like Don't Starve, so I'd say there's a strong chance this will appeal to you. For $1.99, it's more than worth the risk.
Thanks! That was what I was hoping to hear.
Totally agree with Rob.
I really liked and admired Don't Starve, but I could never really commit to the challenge. Crashlands was pure joy.
It's kind of like a brighter, sillier Don't Starve, but without the frustration.
I feel the exact same! I love the theme graphics etccof don't starve but the tedious in the game is tough! If don't starve wasn't as tedicious I would like that more.
Crashlands I love how once you own it doesn't break or fall apart
Hahahaha... I bought it at full price like 2 days ago. Fml. Worth it so far though so my complaint will be minimal ;)
Excellent game by an excellent team! It's entirely made in Gamemaker Studio without any extra assets. Great work guys! :)
Bought it!
I honestly cannot figure this game out at all, and I'm pretty good at most mobile games. Is there some tutorial or guide online?
Anyone seen metalsquid? This is the first TA Crashlands notification he isn't cussing at. "GOOOOOOOOOOOD, SHUT THE FUCK UP WITH THIS CRASHLANDS BULLSHIT UNLESS YOU'RE HERE TO TELL ME I WAITED CLOSE TO AN ENTIRE YEAR TO SAVE THREE DOLLARS!!!"
HEY! Why don't you worry about where you are and he'll worry about where he is...
=oP
I have never played crafting or survival games, but I really appreciated the UNLIMITED INVENTORY SPACE Crashlands has.
The best part of this game is, the most reliable save/backup function I've ever seen. Game crashes? Just go back and it loads your session as soon as a minute or late as three minutes after crashing. The Butterscotch ID made this even better.
I'm not even crazy into this game but I bought it for the back story of the dev. It was a heartwarming purchase, more of a donation to a good cause and good group of lads. With all the garbage on the app store for $2 $5 hell even $10, this is a good grab.
This is not a good sign.
From someone not a fan of the genre, I can safely say this game will turn you around on that. If you haven't bought this yet and you're still in doubt... don't be. Just buy it. I don't regret for a second buying the game at original price and even bought the version on Steam too. This is an iOS essential!
This is not normally my type of game, but the sale plus backstory got me.
But now I am running around picking up sticks and bushes and building straw mats.... i seem to need a pickax now... I'm not quite getting sucked in I guess. Is there some exciting part I am missing?
