‘Finding Dory’ Swims onto ‘Disney Crossy Road’ with New Figurines, Missions and More

TouchArcade Rating:

Disney films were a big part of my childhood, and I’m sure that sentiment is shared by many people. This means that even though Disney Crossy Road (Free) and the ever growing roster of stars are mainly an aesthetic change on the original formula, playing as the cast of characters I grew up with has a nostalgic joy that makes the game pretty difficult to put down. In accordance with the release of Finding Dory over the next couple of weeks (it’s already out in the US, but some of us around the world are still impatiently waiting), a new update has dropped featuring many of the aquatic animals from he film, as well as other miscellaneous Disney figurines for any fervent collectors to acquire.

Hipster Whale have padded out Disney Crossy Road significantly, as the Finding Dory Mini Pack comes with a whole new theme, with jellyfish and sharks to avoid along the reef in accordance with the beautifully animated environments of the film. 20 figurines from Finding Dory, including Bloat, Gill and Jacques from the Tank Gang amongst others from the main cast are also included, with many unlockable by breaking into aquariums found on the run. Other additions like more bundle packs and ten new exclusive daily mission figurines featuring the likes of Spanish Buzz from Toy Story 3 mean if there wasn’t enough content in Disney Crossy Road to satiate your desire to jump amongst traffic, there certainly is now. The Finding Dory Mini Pack is available for $0.99 within the app, so be sure to give the new update a spin and share any secrets, tips or impressions on our forums.

This is definitely the wrong place to post this, but I want to see if I can get an answer. How can we contact 2k Games to ask them about Bioshock for iOS? I'd love to hear back from them if they saw how many members of the community want them to fix their game

Can we play all courses for free or it is like Play 6 courses and pay to unlock more?

      1. Ryan Noodle

Yes you can play all 20 courses for free that ship with the game. There are additional courses you can get via the downloadable courses section but to access those, you will need to upgrade. All future courses will be available through that.

        1. Rohit Bhatia

And I think now $2.99 is awesome price for this game as we will get future courses as well so well done Noodlecake take my money!!!

    3. Ryan Noodle

FYI - The premium upgrade is $2.99 USD. Which translates to $3.99 CAD which is what I mistakenly told Carter.

Gone are the days where SSG was a single purchase and you got powerups unlocked based on progression in the single player mode instead of luck by buying card packs. Still, extremely excited for this, multiplayer is going to rock, as usual.

      1. Ryan Noodle

Actually the powerups are still mainly unlocked from game play. For example you earn the Ice Ball after beating the first ice level etc. However the power ups can be leveled up using cards if you find them.

Super excited as after all these years the SSG games are still my favorite to regularly play (as in daily). Don't really care for a "card" system, but am optimistic it doesn't overshadow the game experience.

Is a level editor/creator still in the works? How about multiplayer turn based race/time mode rather than just turn based stroke mode? Those were two of my wish list items.

      1. Ryan Noodle

We found the card system is a more fun version of the hat lottery in SSG2 tbh. So if you liked that system you should love this one. And if you hated it...well hopefully you kinda like it now? ;)

The editor is still in the works. Wont ship with the launch but hopefully down the road. We didnt want want to delay the game because we were polishing that up.
