Here’s a small PSA for fans of Terry Cavanagh’s Super Hexagon ($2.99): Apparently there’s something that’s gone wrong with the just-released 2.2 update that’s wiping save games. It’s since been updated with a big ol’ “DO NOT UPDATE!" in the What’s New section, warning players to avoid it.
If, like me, you’ve just got automatic updates enabled on your devices chances are you didn’t even see this, so in the meantime, if you care about your save game data in Super Hexagon, don’t launch the game until the updated update hits.
Per Twitter, Cavanagh is working on fixing this and is going to request a speedy iTunes review so hopefully this whole SNAFU is over in a day or two. In the meantime, if you’ve got super sick scores you value, maybe spend the next couple days playing Flappy Bird instead.
