But what if, in the tradition of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and anyone else who thinks that two disparate things should be combined into one, you combined the two into one game? That’s Spelldom, which we’ve talked about before. You build up defenses on your board to hinder your opponents trying to raid your base by way of making Scrabble-esque word plays. It’s a clever combination, and we now know when you’ll be able to play it: October 21st. Developer HangZone has just released a new trailer demoing how the multiplayer works in action:
It’s a pretty clever combination of two well-worn genres, and based on what I’ve played, it’s certainly worth a download if you’re intrigued once it goes global. The game is in soft launch in Canada if you’re Canadian, or an impatient non-Canadian with the knowhow and possibly a love for poutine.

That's not true. He only posted the cats on 5* reviews. That's nothing to do with taste, but echoing the 5* given by the reviewer.
I doubt that he even bought or played he "instabought". Whenever I got a push notification that another review is up, he already posted this cat.
I could be wrong, but I thought it was certain previews that he would post the "instabuy" & on the 5* reviews he said something to the effect of "oh wow! That's 5 Stars!"

Whether he bought those games or not, we have no way of knowing and it really ain't our business.

Maglor and his cats are part of the culture at TA. Traditions are hard to come by on the internet, young and transient as it is. That's why there's "popular demand and love" for him. At worst, it's a harmless inconvenience to scroll past; at best, Maglor "adds [something] to the conversation" by giving people something familiar and good-natured to engage with.

In one of the threads a couple of weeks ago, a couple of people started complaining about Maglor's posts and then Maglor left. I think Maglor took part in the conversation too, but it's hard to be sure as his posts have all gone too. Not sure who deleted them or why (or if it was Maglor himself then how).
And the one guy who complained, Martin Meier, I have not seen again on this site. Hmmm. Possibly somebody's alt account?
We talked about this on the Landslider's review page (seems to be when people first started noticing). Maglor's last post appears to be on the 9-24 article about 'DotEmu bringing Sanitarium this Halloween.' Seems weird to make a shirt if he's not here. And you're right about candlesticks, dancj. I was one person critizising Maglor for sitting in nearly every thread and always posting that instabuy cat instead of adding relevant stuff to the discussions. I still don't like it, but the response was so positively overwhelming, in favour of Maglor, so I think I can enjoy the front page even with the cat on it.

Ermm isn't this adding insult to injury for Maglor?? Not only has he been chased off the site you guys have now stolen his funny and put it on a T-Shirt to wreak the profit...I'm pretty sure he deserves the royalties.
For one, Eli already said there is next to no money making going on here, and two, that isn't Maglor's cat. Those ascii pictures have been around for ages. He's the one who copies and pastes it here. So he would then owe royalties to whoever came up with the cat to begin with. When all was said and done everyone would walk away with 20 cents profit each for each shirt sold.
