There are lots of reasons to love Cally’s Caves 3 (Free), the latest and greatest in the humble little series of action-platformers from indie developer Jordan Pearson. Here at TouchArcade, we loved the game so much, we awarded it with our top score and a customary avalanche of words courtesy of some guy who has no concept of self-editing. One of the many adorable-awesome points in the game is when you take control of the new character, Bera. There was just one problem: Cally got her ending, but we never did see what happened with our favorite ninja bear sidekick. Until now, that is. This…is Bera’s Quest.

The latest free update, which just arrived today, adds a new game mode called Bera’s Quest. It includes a completely new zone with 12 levels to battle your way through. Bad guys for Bera to shred? Check. Bear-treasure? You know that’s a check. A proper ending for the best supporting character in a Cally’s Caves game? I hope you kept your pen handy, because that’s a big old check mark, too.

Throw in a couple of bug-fixes, and you’ve got a pretty sweet little update to a great game. If you haven’t tried Cally’s Caves 3 yet, well, it’s free! Give it a go.
