‘Zombies, Run!’ Gets Season 4 Update and Goes Free-to-Play

TouchArcade Rating:

Zombies, Run (Free) has been inordinately popular since its release in 2012, combining fitness training with outrunning zombies. Now, the app is hoping to become more popular by shifting to free-to-play, and introducing a whole host of new features. Season 4 is the big new addition, bringing 40 new missions to play. You can play multiple missions back-to-back, the interface has been revamped, Spotify and Pandora support has been improved, chase difficulty is adjustable, and more little tweaks to improve the experience. Check out the new trailer:

For those who have paid for Zombies, Run before and are worried about the new free-to-play model, worry not: anyone who’s bought the app before will have unlimited access to seasons 1-3 and all paid add-ons. You can also play one free Season 4 mission for free, or upgrade to a special pro membership that unlocks all of Season 4 for $7.99 per year. New players will get the first four missions for free, with a new mission unlocked each week. Pro memberships for new users run $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year, unlocking all 200 story missions, along with Interval Training and Airdrop Mode.

    3. SpoomMcKay

I can't play Minecraft PE because the controls are terrible, So I am sooo happy it's getting controller support soon.

Id love to know what goes into with creating these updates, and also how much work goes into porting games to ios. My simple minded thinking is that we can do amazing things on computers so surely it would be not too difficult to port console games over a lot more, but i guess if it was that easy loads of devs would do it. I honestly believe there is a lot of money to be made on ports of big console games, for example i think an ios port of silent hills would be amazing, i would love to have the ability to do this as i would bring over so many amazing games so a whole new audience on ios can enjoy them once again, oh well guess its another pipe dream ✌🏼️

Well despite iOS being great, it simply doesn't match the power of a computer or console, but I'm still a lover of iOS gaming and I agree that ports are great and that they should add more. But most of the ports are watered down (Bioshock is an example) while some games are a bit older and work perfect (and remain untouched, except touch control implementation) like Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic, which is fantastic on iOS, even on old devices (A5 chip or above works great).
I agree that a lot of money could be made on iOS but there are some reasons why developers (and companies) don't add a lot of ports....
        1. A lot of ports are big (2GB+) unlike most games specifically for iOS, and a lot of people only have 16GB, while iOS gamers (the minority) have larger devices (32GB - 128GB).
        2. Touch control is tricky and not every one has a MFi controller
        3. iOS devices are powerful, (64 bit) but lack ram (iOS has 1GB, while android has 3GB and computers have 8GB)

I thought they already said the planned to have it for fall of this year, but I guess this shows that they are on track.

Great news! The more games with mfi support, the better!

No hungry mode fishing for what?

There you have it confirmation the new Apple TV will have controller support! They had over a year to do this and choose now to say soon! Especially with rumors about the App Store and games on Apple Tv's

I realy hope controller support is the first thing to come after 0.11.0, the implementation isn't even that hard, And it's the single (and easiest) thing you could add to to minecraft PE to improve it. I hope the order of updates is this...
      0.11.0 - skins, boats etc.
0.12.0 Controller support and UI change
      0.13.0 nether
1.0 red stone and 64 bit support
      1.1 potions and enchantments
      1.2 the end
1.3 more stuff we don't really need but should be added for the fun of it

Hoping he isn't only speaking of android... I iOS needs more controller support for gods sake! My ps3 controller almost never gets used unless I play modern combat.

I'm so glad Mojang is finally adding controller support because i truly hate on screen controls you will be so surprised that 90% of android and iOS gamers hate on screen controls the only time I would use on screen controls and would be racing games and simulation driving games as they are the easiest games to play without a controller but to tell you the truth i find it so ridiculous that MC: PE already had controller support only on androids with built in gamepads like the Xsperia play Archos gamepad Nvidia shield there are a lot more than you think and yet its been years since MC: PE came out on smartphones and tablets and iOS devices and did not get no controller support you would automatically think that Mojang would already add controller support for android and tablet devices But yet they didn't I really don't know why but I'm guessing it's because Mojang didn't think about it at that time or something must have come up any way I'm glad they are finally adding controller support since they are adding controller support Mojang needs to add multiple controllers like Moga controllers Ipega controllers Madcatz controllers Nyko controllers on android as for iOS devices they need to add the Moga ace power and the Moga rebel the Madcatz CTRLI AND micro CTRLI so that way we get a true gaming experience does anybody agree?

Oohh...no I don't like the new controller....I mean D.pad technology....this is very haaaaaarrrd.....I want 2 rollback the update 0.12.1 to 0.11.1....or give us an ability to change the new controller......but all of other things in the new version is perfect..tnx tommaso
