I had my bets on the soft launch of Pokemon TCG Online lasting at least a few weeks, but, it seems like it could be hitting as early as tonight. As spotted by Joystiq, the game is currently rolling out across the various iTunes regions similar to how games typically are released on Wednesday. So, if all goes as expected, Pokemon should be available to download at 11:00 PM Eastern.
I’ve been playing the soft launched version of the game since it hit the Canadian App Store, and I dig it. Having no prior experience with the Pokemon card game at all, it’s been an interesting learning experience and right now I feel a lot like how I did when I started playing Hearthstone– A whole lot of “I’m not sure if I like this, largely because it isn’t Magic the Gathering." You guys have no idea how badly I want a proper Magic Online client for iPad.
But, yeah, stay tuned for a potential US release of Pokemon TCG Online later tonight. In the meantime, check out the thread in our forums filled with people playing the Canadian soft launch.
This is the first I've heard of this game. It sounds amazing! I'll be following this one for sure from here on out.

man, i was following the thread for a long time before i figured it wasn't worth keeping up with due to delays and stuff, but it's awesome to see that it's comin' together well (presumably) :)
I've been browsing through the forums trying to figure out a rough release date, but it is still a little unclear.
still hasn't been given yet. i remember there being a few solid plans for release as far as timing goes, but none of them went through, so i personally wouldn't think about it too much until you see it pop up on the front page or the app store
