Well, it happened again. Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road has been delayed to 2024 following its many prior delays. If you’ve not kept up with it, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road was originally announced back in 2016, and we kept hearing more about Level-5’s new soccer RPG story since. Shaun wrote about it from TGS back in 2016. Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is the newest entry in Level-5’s football themed cross media franchise that had some excellent games on Nintendo handhelds over the years. As of TGS this year, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road was confirmed for 2023 release on PS5, PS4, Switch, iOS, and Android worldwide. Today, at a new showcase, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road has been delayed to 2024 with a Switch-exclusive beta happening in March worldwide. It is still planned to hit the same platforms worldwide. In the showcase, it was confirmed that Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will support cross play and cross save on PS5, PS4, and Switch, but not on mobile. The slide at the end also mentioned a difference in specifications for the mobile version. We will have to wait and see what they meant by that. A lot of new features and story details were revealed. I was skeptical for the 2023 date, and it looks like everything has been delayed to 2024 or later from the announced games. Hopefully this one doesn’t go to 2025.
