Loving this game but think I’m stuck. Anyone got past this point and can tell me how?
Just found the first large creature, escaped from the ice falling down. Now I’ve got this block of ice that shines but no idea how to get past it. Not sure there’s anywhere else I can go either.
This is slowly becoming one of my favorite games out of the 10 games I started off with Touch controls can be a little quirky but I’m getting used to them. They actually work rather well. The environments look great. You’re character even better The sound is probably the best part. You have to play this with headsets or earbuds. The gameplay is fun and challenging. I get a really strong Metroid vibe playing It actually brings me back to playing Metroid for the first time as a kid I’m think I’m exactly where you are but haven’t figured it out yet. If you do I’ll be glad to hear how Thanx
They’re a lot of secret areas and pathways thru out the levels
You have to upgrade your suit to be able to go deeper. Battle some creatures etc. and you can upgrade the suit and continue your journey downwards. This game is just perfect, the atmosphere, gameplay and sound/music. Hope Capcom have more gems for Apple Arcade.
Playing the game with a Xbox Controller. It really makes it so much better! Highly recommended!
This game is incredible. Yesterday I beat first boss and found the submarine.
Possibly best graphics I ever saw on iOS and then some, still have to find my jaw.
Can’t believe it runs so well on iPhone X....shadows, lights, blur, focus, animations...everything.
Game is a glorious Metroidvania with huge emphasis on exploration (and deadly fights....those damn sword sharks!!!). Has a slightly higher learning curve than your average game but it’s totally worth it.
Sound design is awesome as well.
Okay, Shinsekai is really something else, I think it's one of the best games ever released on mobile. I'm not sure why the forum is still a bit hush about this one tho, it's a very strong GOTY contender imho. I think I'm closer to the end, but still getting deeper and deeper, and things started to get really tense.
Don't sleep on this one. This is the "premium" experience you crave for.
It’s HANDS DOWN on my short list for GOTY, and possibly the best Apple Arcade I played so far.
I *THINK* I'm at the end (last boss?) but it was downright GLORIOUS from start to now, with nice puzzles, incredible exploration, memorable bosses and a lifelike immense world.
The graphics are among the best I ever saw and 'last' (???) stage is graphically out of this world.
Ok...what I thought last stage was actually third to last one
NOW I’ve really completed the game, and couldn’t be more satisfied and sad for it having finished. I need a sequel, NOW.
One of the best games ever, on any platform.
If you like tense mysterious exploration of an alien world...don’t sit on this.
Graphics is out of this world.
I’m really trying to find some love for this game but she doesn’t make it any easier for me. I’m stuck right at the beginning having no idea what to do. Everything starts to freeze so I’m naturally trying to escape. Taking a route to the right, which shortly after I’m failing to continue and falling deeper, collecting some sea weed along the way. But eventually the freezing catches up on me and game over.
So I died like 10 times already, a few seconds after I barely started. I already did rage quit twice, deleted the game and re-downloaded it again. With the same scenario. So before my last attempt and ruining the game for myself completely, I’m rather asking ... WTF am I suppose to do?!
I don't remember the first hour of the game, but I don't recall it to be that difficult, maybe I was just lucky.
You can find some youtube videos of people playing first hour if that can help.
Without spoiling things....your first objective is....survive...ie staying away from freezing waters and gathering useful things (the game introduces things slowly....but in no time you will gather components, build things that you use to solve 'puzzles' and go deeper and deeper and deeper while empowering your suit).
Then you will start to put together the pieces of the big puzzles....down to last glorious plot twist.
There will be things you won't understand at first...don't worry....sooner or later you will come back and everything will be clear.
As for freezing waters...check the map...maybe you are just missing a way out of the freezing zone.
Just beware you can't (for now) go past the red line....pressure is too high for you to survive down there.
@Pitta right, I didn’t think of watching walkthrough videos on YT. That would be weird actually to need help right from the beginning, but it’s the case I guess. Anyway, I checked like 3 videos and it seems I wasn’t dying because the freezing that eventually catches up on me but I dived into the red water I guess? It’s strange. It looks like the freezing isn’t following the other guys, only me. I also don’t recall red water at all. Could it be there was some sort of patch released lately? I’ll check version history on the App Store for that.
That being said, I’m gonna give it another try in the light of recent circumstances and new information. I’m curious if it goes better this time. Or what could I be doing wrong to struggle so much right at the beginning. Let’s find out, shall we?
No! It’s the same shit all over again. I’m dying within seconds right at the beginning. It doesn’t matter what I do. I just die suddenly. Check this out:
I’m done with this stupid game for good.
You're running out of oxygen! Try to get to the bubbles next to where you just died.
lol you are running out of oxygen! The game even tells you while you are playing. Hop into the bubbles.
@Pitta the gameplay I recorded is all I’ve got. When and where exactly did the game tell me I’m running out of oxygen? I’m just dying no matter what. I’ll give it last chance. Later. Maybe. I’m just frustrated AF. And disappointed.
The flashing red empty oxygen tank in the upper left corner.
At 0.18 and at 0.26 the game tells you how to jump and that using thrusters consumes oxygens, and there is an arc of lights that if you follow will have you land on the bubbles from the crack on the terrain...that is your target.
Jump from the cliff and use a bit of thrust to follow the lights and land on the bubbles.
That will replenish fully your tank.
Hope it helps!!!!
Really, really enjoying this.
For those of you that have finished it, roughly how long did it take you?
It took roughly 10 hrs, but considering that I took my time and stuck in a particular stage for 3 hrs, I'd say 5-7 hrs would be fine.
